A specialist infrastructure investment manager with a strong Australian presence is adding a senior investor to its Melbourne-based team. The firm deploys capital across core and core-plus infrastructure, targeting long-duration, cash-generative assets with contracted or regulated revenue profiles across control and co-investment positions.
Role details:
This is a hands-on, deal-intensive role for an investor who wants genuine ownership of transactions from origination through to close. The role spans the full investment lifecycle - acquisitions, divestments, asset-level and platform transactions, and ongoing portfolio engagement, with direct exposure to senior decision-makers and a disciplined, commercially focused investment culture.
- Own end-to-end execution across M&A, project finance, and structured transactions.
- Lead financial analysis, valuation, and complex financial model build and review.
- Manage external advisers through due diligence, structuring, and documentation.
- Prepare investment committee materials and deal recommendations.
- Engage with debt providers on financing and refinancing structures.
- Evaluate corporate, minority, concession, and PPP investment frameworks.
- Support portfolio value creation, bolt-on activity, and exit execution.
- Mentor junior team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7-12+ years in infrastructure private equity, investment banking, or project finance.
- Demonstrated track record leading transaction workstreams with tangible outcomes.
- Advanced financial modelling capability across integrated and project finance structures.
- Sector exposure across energy, renewables, transport, utilities, digital, or social infrastructure.
- Familiarity with contracted revenue models, concession frameworks, and PPP structures.
- Sound commercial judgement and confidence across fast-paced, execution-driven environments.
- Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
A high-ownership role within a lean, high-performing team, with scope for broader responsibility across a varied pipeline of real assets transactions.
