A well-established infrastructure investment and advisory platform is seeking a senior origination professional to join its growing team. Active across a broad pipeline of large-scale opportunities with a strong track record across public and private sector mandates, continued transaction activity has created the need for an experienced Associate Director.
Role Details:
A substantive origination and execution role for someone who wants to be close to the action on complex infrastructure transactions. You will lead workstreams across live bids and financings, engage directly with government clients, lenders, contractors and advisers, and take meaningful ownership of outcomes from early-stage engagement through to financial close. Spanning both debt and equity, the role offers genuine breadth across structuring, negotiation, financial analysis, documentation and relationship management, with direct exposure to senior decision-makers.
- Lead debt and equity workstreams on major infrastructure transactions with full accountability for deliverables.
- Drive origination - identifying, assessing and progressing project financing opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial and financial structuring terms across competitive bid and financing processes.
- Oversee financial modelling by junior team members and manage risk allocation across contractors, clients and capital providers.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, government counterparties and external advisers.
- Prepare and review bid, tender and transaction documentation.
- Mentor Analysts and Associates and stay across relevant regulatory and market developments.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6-9+ years in investment banking, project finance advisory, infrastructure investing or senior debt lending.
- Hands-on PPP structuring experience and exposure to competitive government bid processes.
- Advanced financial modelling capability across complex, multi-party transactions.
- Deep understanding of risk allocation and its impact on financing structures.
- Familiarity with hedging and swap products; strong command of project finance legal documentation.
- Proven negotiation skills and a tertiary qualification in finance, law, engineering, economics or related discipline.
- Exposure to greenfield or construction-phase assets in a transaction-intensive environment.
