Join a growing infrastructure platform and take ownership of debt strategy across a compelling PPP portfolio. Working closely with investment, development, and executive teams, you'll originate, structure, and execute financing solutions across the asset lifecycle - from new bids and acquisitions through to refinancings and portfolio management. This is a highly commercial role for someone with deep project finance expertise and a proven track record raising debt for infrastructure transactions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of optimal capital structures for PPP projects, infrastructure investments, and platform-level funding initiatives.
- Lead capital structuring and debt raising across greenfield and brownfield infrastructure assets, from initial financing strategy through to financial close.
- Assess and recommend financing solutions across senior debt, private placements, institutional debt, and hybrid capital, evaluating options at every stage of the asset lifecycle including bidding, acquisition, development, and operations.
- Prepare financing strategies, lender presentations, and information memoranda, managing due diligence processes and coordinating legal counsel, technical consultants, and rating agencies as required.
- Negotiate key financing documentation including term sheets, facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements, and security packages.
- Build and maintain relationships with domestic and international banks, infrastructure debt funds, superannuation funds, and alternative lenders, staying across evolving debt market trends and funding sources.
- Monitor capital market conditions and proactively identify opportunities for refinancing, recapitalisation, and value creation across the portfolio.
- Partner with investment and bid teams to develop financing solutions that sharpen competitiveness and returns, including reviewing and challenging financial models, funding assumptions, and downside scenarios.
- Present financing recommendations to investment committees, boards, and financing counterparties.
- Manage portfolio financing obligations including covenant compliance, debt monitoring, and refinancing exercises, with a focus on optimising capital structures and reducing cost of capital.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7-10 years in project finance, infrastructure finance, PPPs, capital markets, or investment banking.
- Background in a PPP developer, infrastructure fund, advisory practice, or commercial bank.
- Strong understanding of PPP contractual frameworks and project finance structures.
- Sector experience across social infrastructure, transport, utilities, or renewables highly regarded.
