Associate/Vice President – Loan Execution – Leading Global Investment Bank

A slightly different mandate for us, supporting a global investment bank’s Loan Execution team within Corporate & Investment Banking.

  • Excellent remuneration and clear long‑term progression within a strong leadership environment
  • End‑to‑end execution ownership across underwritten and syndicated loan transactions, with a focus on acquisition and structured finance
  • Work closely with origination, distribution and product teams to deliver integrated debt solutions across APAC

A leading global investment bank is seeking a Vice President to join its Sydney-based Loan Execution team. Sitting within Corporate & Investment Banking, this role supports complex underwritten and syndicated financings, with particular focus on acquisition finance and structured transactions across Australia and broader Asia-Pacific.

You will drive end-to-end execution, including structuring, negotiating and drafting mandate documentation and term sheets, and taking commercial ownership of loan documentation through to funding. The role involves direct client engagement, coordination of external counsel and trustees, and close collaboration with regional origination and distribution teams. Ongoing monitoring of regulatory developments across Asia-Pacific and active management of transaction risk are core components of the position.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified lawyer with approximately 6-9+ years’ post‑qualification experience
  • At least 3+ years’ direct experience in loan transactions
  • Strong exposure to underwritten and syndicated loan facilities
  • Demonstrated experience across acquisition finance and structured financings
  • Proven capability in negotiating and managing complex loan documentation
  • Background from a top‑tier law firm or leading financial institution preferred
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to take ownership of transaction risk through to funding
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, cross‑border Asia‑Pacific environment
