A well-established independent advisory firm with deep roots in the Australian market is seeking a Director to take ownership of mandate execution, team leadership, and client relationships at a senior level. You'll work alongside experienced senior advisors with strong market networks, lead a capable junior team, and serve as the day-to-day engine of a tight-knit, high-performing advisory practice. The firm operates across M&A, capital management, corporate strategy and special situations, offering broad exposure without the constraints of a large institutional environment.

Role Details:

Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead execution across active mandates, manage and develop a team of Associates and Analysts, and act as the primary point of contact for inbound client activity. Business development is a meaningful part of the remit - both through your existing networks and through active relationship building across the market.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years' experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, transaction services or corporate finance.
• Exposure across multiple transaction types - M&A, ECM/DCM, capital management, restructuring or special situations.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing junior advisory teams.
• Highly commercial, execution-focused, and technically strong.
• Confident managing senior client relationships and operating as a trusted advisor.
• A track record of business development and the ability to build and leverage relationships at board level.
• Comfortable with autonomy and accountability in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
