Investment Banking Associate – Infrastructure Debt Advisory

Our client, a top ranked global investment bank with deep capabilities in advisory, capital markets and financing, is looking to appoint an experienced Associate to join their capital advisory business in Sydney.

This key role within the team will support senior bankers to deliver bespoke, independent financing advice and execution support to their valued clients, with a particular focus on the infrastructure sector. A unique opportunity to work across high-profile and complex financings, spanning acquisition finance, infrastructure and energy project funding and structured capital solutions, working closely with the internal product and coverage teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Structuring and executing debt mandates, including capital structure analysis, acquisition financing, refinancing, liability management, and other bespoke financing solutions
• Conducting financial modelling and credit benchmarking
• Preparing high-impact client materials and participating in the end-to-end advisory and execution process
• Partnering across global product and sector teams to deliver seamless cross-border solutions for clients
• Tracking trends in the private and public debt markets, and developing insights into investor appetite, credit markets, and macroeconomic drivers

The successful candidate will have c.4-7 years of prior experience in investment banking, project finance or debt advisory, with strong technical and financial modelling capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also essential for the role, along with a genuine interest in the infrastructure sector.
