Renewables – Advisory Associate

This is a Sydney-based opportunity to join a leading global infrastructure and energy transition advisory platform. The Sydney team operates with the focus and agility of a boutique, while being closely connected to a global network of c.130 professionals working on renewable energy and infrastructure transactions across Australia and internationally.

As the platform continues to grow in Australia, the team is looking for an Associate to play a hands-on role in deal execution and client delivery.

You’ll work alongside market-leading advisors on complex transactions across renewable energy, energy transition and infrastructure. Supporting sponsors, developers, investors and lenders on impactful projects across Australia and be accountable for the smooth execution of advisory missions relating to financial structuring, raising required debt or leading M&A equity finance transactions.

Role responsibilities:

• Advising on renewable energy and energy transition transactions across the full project lifecycle
• Building and reviewing detailed financial models, including project finance and LBO models
• Delivering commercial, financial and strategic analysis to support investment and financing decisions
• Supporting project finance, M&A and strategic advisory workstreams from origination through to financial close
• Financial modelling and commercial analysis
• Supporting project finance, M&A and strategic advisory workstreams
• Working directly with developers, investors and lenders

Experience:

• Ideally 2-5 years experience in Big 4 advisory / Infrastructure Advisory / Project Finance / Banking
• Strong financial modelling experience with expertise in LBO financial modelling
• Exposure to renewables, energy transition or infrastructure
• High attention to detail, commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
