The Role
Reporting to the CFO, this senior leadership position will oversee financial strategy and capital management across the platform. With exposure to wind, utility-scale solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), the role will be central to investment decisions, capital structuring, and driving growth initiatives.
You will provide strategic financial insights to the Executive Team and Board, manage financing activity, and lead a small team of finance professionals. This is an opportunity for a commercially astute, collaborative leader to shape the future of one of Australia’s most exciting renewable energy platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead M&A activity, providing strategic input, valuation expertise, and execution support.
- Oversee the development of financial models, investment appraisals, and portfolio valuations for decision-making.
- Structure and execute complex project and corporate-level transactions in partnership with internal teams.
- Manage relationships with investors, lenders, advisors, and regulators.
- Support the CFO in corporate strategy, funding requirements, and capital allocation decisions.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Monitor market, regulatory, and ESG trends to inform financial strategy.
Ideal Candidate
- 15-18 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or senior finance within the energy/renewables sector.
- Proven track record in capital markets, M&A, and project finance transactions.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, asset valuation, and capital structuring.
- Leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with Board and investor-facing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related; postgraduate qualifications (CFA, CA, MBA) desirable.
- Passionate about sustainability and the energy transition.
- Must have Australian working rights.
